This acquisition bolsters Scope3’s media sustainability solutions including Climate Shield and Green Media Products (GMPs) with additional capabilities to avoid wasted carbon and wasted ad spend. Advertisers using our sustainability solutions have not only lowered their carbon emissions, but have also found their campaigns perform with greater efficiency and effectiveness. We believe Adloox’s technology and team will help us take another step forward on our mission to decarbonize media and advertising.
Green media delivers more efficiency
Scope3’s emissions reduction solutions have been used by thousands of advertisers to avoid problematic placements, made-for-advertising (MFA), and high-emissions properties. Adloox adds to Scope3’s ability to identify and reduce waste using signals such as Invalid Traffic (IVT) and viewability, helping advertisers buy more sustainably. Any impression that is being served but not seen by a human has a carbon impact, and we believe it is important to incorporate this into our sustainability offering.
Adloox also brings to Scope3 a robust footprint across leading media platforms, helping improve our emissions measurement and reduction capabilities. The recent ANA report on media sustainability found brands achieved the greatest carbon reduction by using always-on green media products such as Climate Shield and GMPs, not static inclusion or exclusion lists—it’s why we are excited to further develop these products with the Adloox team to be even more effective in reducing carbon and financial waste.
